AP Students and teachers at a ceremonial check presentation

GCHS Advanced Placement classes are on the rise and so are test scores. This year 107 students passed one or more AP tests to earn college credit, and saving $60,669 in tuition costs based on KCTCS rates. They’ve also earned money they can use now - or later for college expenses.

Advanced Kentucky representatives presented the group with a ceremonial check for $12,500, representing the total amount that will be distributed to them based on number of tests taken and passed. Congratulations to these students for challenging themselves with these rigorous courses, and to the teachers who have guided their studies!
