GCHS seniors Raylee Shepherd, Tate Cain, and Amelia Hayes participated in the 2025 WKU Math Contest earlier this month and today received their 3rd place medals from Associate Professor of Mathematics Daniel Clark.
The trio placed in the Senior Team event, working together to arrive at answers in topics that included Complex Numbers, Geometry, Physics, Algebra, and Word Problems. The competition included regional schools and students from traditional math courses as well as those that use applied mathematics such as machining, computer science and engineering. Medals were given to the top three place winners in each test category in each division.
