GCHS FFA made quite a showing at Lincoln Trail Region competition.
First-place finishes advance to State competition. These include the Quiz Bowl Team of Ali Riggs, Cassie Copelin, Kinsey VanMeter, and Colbie White; also Shannon Matthews, Equine Placement Proficiency; and Kyle Green, Grain Production Proficiency.
Second Place was earned by Avery Davis, Diversified Horticulture Proficiency; Cassie Copelin, Sheep Production Proficiency; Braylynn Snyder, Small Animal Proficiency and Vet Science Proficiency. Snyder also participated in the Employability Skills Contest.
Proficiencies are detailed applications about each student's Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project and include essays, financial records, hours worked, and pictures of themselves working on their projects.
Mallory Miller placed second in the essay contest, and Lila Riggs took third in Ag Sales Placement.
Riggs was also elected Treasurer for the Lincoln Trail Region during the 2025-26 school year.
Also representing GCHS was Addy Porter, who served as a delegate for regional officer elections and submitted her state degree.
