GCHS students Jada Colley, Maddie Bratcher, Ella Decker, and Lily DePoyster have been recognized as finalists of the WKU Barbara Ann Williford Memorial High School Writing Contest. They were recently honored during a ceremony on campus.
Colley won first place in the poetry division of the contest. Bratcher, Decker, and DePoyster were entered in the composition division. The contest also offers prose and teacher's choice categories. The topic for all four divisions was "Social Media and its Effect on the Mental Health of Teens."
