Congrats to the GCMS Archery Team, who took 3rd place at the E-town competition last Sat. with a score of 2852! Wyatt Taylor took 1st place and William Newton took 3rd place out of 33 competing 6th grade boys. Reagan Coffey took 2nd place out of 14 competing 7th grade girls, and placed 8th out of all middle school girls. Placing in the top 20 of all middle school boys were Wyatt Taylor, Ryder Coffey, Cooper Justis, and Dax Lasley!
More details from the District Governor's Cup at Butler Co. on Saturday! Academic Team - Quick recall team, made up of Landry Crowder, Jocey Stinnett, Cooper Justis, Trinity Clemons, Evan Templeman, Jaxen Williams, and Brennon Burns placed 2nd place overall. FPS, made up of Adyson Parker, Skylah Plant, Abigail Schmidt, Molly Thomas, and Isabella Spalding was 1st overall. In math, Evan Templeman placed 5th and Cooper Justis placed 2nd. In science, Cooper Justis placed 4th and Trinity Clemons placed 1st. In social studies, Landry Crowder placed 2nd. In Language Arts, Jocey Stinnett placed 4th and Rio Mercado placed 2nd. In Arts and Humanities, Jocey Stinnett placed 5th and Rio Mercado placed 1st. In written composition, Kady Cook placed 2nd and Landry Crowder placed 1st. Grayson County placed 1st overall! All these students will advance to Regionals hosted by Drakes Creek on February 10th!
