GCHS FCCLA earned national recognition and praise during the National Fall Conference in Dallas, Nov. 14 – 17.
Competing in hands-on demonstration and presentation-based events, Gracyn Cook placed 3rd in Technical Pastry Skills, and Chloe Cox took 2nd in Technology in teaching. Josie Decker, Technical Knife Skills, and Maya Vaughn, Speak Out for FCCLA, also represented GCHS at the national level. The entire GCHS contingent earned notice for their excellent performances.
FCCLA members from across the US and Puerto Rico came together to attend the "Your Story: Our Story" themed event, where students had the opportunity to participate in numerous team building activities and leadership training courses. They were also able to view the Life Smarts Knowledge Bowl, and participate in a real life game show about teen choices and distracted behaviors.
